Shipwreck`s Bar and Grill in Key Largo

Stopped by on the way back to West Palm Beach. Even with only 2 girls on tables this place is on point. Ordered the crab cakes with beans and rice and the mahi mahi with steak fries. Food is excellent and very reasonably priced in fact most places in South Florida are a rip off. Without doubt one of the best places for fish in Florida.

Excellent food and fantastic service. Sat outside next to the water. Good view. Service was fantastic even with the COVID restrictions.

The server was rude to us from the start. I understand that you're busy and short staffed, but its no reason to be rude to guests. We watched as others were served and we kept getting ignored. Eventually we got up and left and were lucky enough to find Buzzards. There we received great service and outstanding food despite the fact that they were extremely busy as well.

Food was great, but to quote my son the service was a shipwreck. Kinda ruined the experience. Gave them a 3 cause maybe it was an off night. But we waited ten minutes before we got to order drinks. Ordered fried cheese sticks for app Took 20 minutes to come out. Took 40 or longer for our order to come out. Salad never came first came with food. Our order was only brought put cause another table was getting anxious for their food and called over a server to ask. They brought ours out to their table and realized it was for us. We were there an hour and a half and only was spoken to by 3 different servers once each had to hunt or flag someone down and ask for every single bit of service we had. The service end of the experience was in the top 3 worst I've had and I've worked in restaurants for 16 years so I am usually very forgiving when it comes to eating out but it was like they didnt even want to bother with us. And I sure ain't difficult either.

I'm not a gourmet ambitious customer however fried fish should not come out dranched in oil, bay scallops not good at all ,the grilled blackened fish was somewhat ok , fish sandwich ok but just that !! . Sorry but despite all the reviews the place did not meet the expectations..P.s customer service is a ShipWreck !! Drinks no straws , food served without utensils , ketchup bottles empty, don't ask for the waitress to many times she might get annoyed with your requests

The food was very good. The two girls working we're friendly and efficient. They made my lunch enjoyable. Great place to sit and enjoy old style Florida.

If you like fish dip. This is it. Great..the snapper was awesome....the dive bar are great the burger is better the the dive is better

The coconut onion rings were excellent in every level, first, they were made fresh from scratch and never frozen, cooked perfectly and we were actually about to break off sections of the rings to dip them without the batter falling off or pulling the whole ring out of its casing...flavor was the best part thought. Jalapeno peppers were also never frozen made fresh and really good! The scallops weren't overcooked. The sweet potato fries were not raw and not overcooked. All in all the food was excellent and the prices far less than I was expecting to pay in the keys. Great hangout spot.

Awesome place, great service by Tiffany. The Conch Fritters are to die for and we got lucky and was there when they had just fished out some groupers....Delish!!!

Amazing place my waitress a young lady from homestead couldn’t get her name but she served us well very attentive and friendly will definitely come back

We stopped by for lunch and I had the Mahi Reuben sandwich with steak fries and my wife had the shrimp basket with steak fries and she had iced tea and I had a beer. Our food was excellent and very fairly priced at $10.99 for each of our meals. Our waitress was awesome !

This is it. This is how the Keys used to be. Amazing food, ornery wait staff, huge beers, on the water. You are going to have to drive another ~100 miles to Stock Island to find a more true Keys experience. Ask for Tiffany!

Great food, great prices, just needs more seating for what they're dishing out.

An out of the way place. On a channel with a dirt driveway .A weight, pulley and roop keep the front door closed. Beer is cold and the food is good. Nice happy hour, good staff. Prices are low for the keys. Saturday night prime rib sells out fast, don't be late.

One of the best place to visit and have seafood.

This is a great dive bar with a variety of seating options: nautical-themed bar, a screened in porch, or an al fresco spot on the water with live music. Cheap beer (especially given said seaside setting) and the best smoked fish dip I've ever had. Now granted, I've only lived in South Florida for a few months, and I've only had the dish in downtown Miami a few times, so take this rave review with a grain of salt. Solid shrimp and a mean fish sandwich, though the latter is definitely not my favorite in the Keys. If I was a local, I would come here for my weekly beer+fried seafood fix for sure, though, and it would be a great spot to catch a Heat/Dolphins/Canes/etc. game.

On our anniversary trip down to Key West we stopped in to Shipwrecks and met Natalie and the ladies. I highly recommend a stop in whether you are heading to the keys, staying locally or perhaps want to take a ride. It was great.

Finally found an old time Keys experience. Friday night all you can eat, fish fry was fantastic.

Customer services isn’t all that great, we weren’t acknowledged until about 10 mins after arrival, we waited almost 2 hours after placing the order, food wasn’t all the great. If you’re just going in for a burger, wings and drinks, I’ll be just good enough.

Delicious food and great ambiance. We really enjoyed sitting on the waterfront to eat.

It's a bar with mostly fried food that was meh. Our server was fun and it's a great place to hang out. If you just wanted drinks and snacks I'm sure you'd give it a higher rating.

I hate to say this on google reviews. I wanted to point it out to the waitress but my wife had to go find her to get are check and in the mean time my kids were screaming so I had to put them in the car. The water pitcher had a fat lip stick ring around the spout. We noticed after our kids already had water from it. I wiped it with a paper towel to check if it was fresh or a stain and yes it was fresh. On the other hand our food and the outdoor seating was great.

Good food, good ambiance, good social distancing; Food was Excellent, calmarinwas perfect, just lightly fried, and the blackened mahi was so juicy.

we had the Best service of anywhere we went in the keys here at Shipwrecks, they have an amazing story behind their restaurant the people are so friendly our waitress Tiffany was very helpful with her recommendations, THE COCONUT ONION RINGS ARE AMAZING! AND HERE IS THE ONLY PLACE IN THE KEYS YOU CAN EXPERIENCE THEM! WE DEFINITELY RECOMMEND THIS RESTAURANT

The only reason why I gave it 5 stars is bc I couldnt give it 6! We have been coming to Key Largo over 20 plus years and have never come here, it was our loss. If you are looking for a tourist place, dont come here. If you are looking for a local place with great food and great prices, this is what you want! This place is amazing and a hidden gem. Tiffany was an awesome server and made us feel welcomed and we were friends for years. Shipwrecks has now moved into a must stop for us on every trip.

If you want a large thick glass frosted mug in Key Largo filled with a great selection of beers, you have to go here. On a hot day of hard work no better place to stop.

Superb dive bar with cold beer, terrific food, and pole dancers. Try the coconut shrimp and coconut onion rings with sweet Thai sauce. They are made in the kitchen, not frozen. Ditch the pretentious hipster bars and restaurants-you won't be sorry. The staff here work their butts off to make your visit special.

Off the beaten path! Hidden gem..lunch was great the outside was amazing..had some music playing..loved it!! Seared tuna..and the mahi mahi is local.
